RENTAL REBATES

Connecticut has a Renter’s Rebate Program which is designed for tenants who are elderly (age 65 and older) or totally disabled. The income limit changes every year.  In 2007, the annual income limits are $16,200 (single) and $20,000 (married). There is no asset limit.   Rebate amounts can be as high as $700/year for a single person and $900/year for married persons.

Application forms may be filled out at the town social service agency or office of the Assessor, depending on the town, between May 15 and September 15.

Visit the Renter’s Rebate website to learn about this reimbursement program that provides qualifying Connecticut renters with a cash rebate.
